CFA or Continuous Flight Auger piling is a method used when drilling below the water table or when drilling though loose or unstable material.

When to use a CFA Pile

CFA piles can be used in loose sands, filled sites or be founded below the water table, They are commonly used for basement construction and retaining walls. Southern Piling works CFA piling rigs are fitted with Data logging equipment, as per australian standards, and monitor drilling conditions and concrete pumping parameters to ensure pile quality and reliability, complete data alaysis is available at the completion of the pile.

CFA piles can also be used in situations that require limited vibration and therefore CFA piles are sometimes used instead of a driven pile to eliminate the vibration caused during the instalation of driven piles.
